180 in 180

Today I started something I like to call #180in180. A 180 degree life turn around in 180 days.

180 degrees?? Really? Anyone who knows me would say I’m a nice guy. I’m fairly fit, workout regularly and eat decently well. I’m not an alcoholic or addicted to drugs. I make money, I’m not totally broke, and not in debt up to my eyelids. Hell, I even have some money in investments. I even have a chronic illness that I’m not on medication for! Most would look at my life and say “hey you know what, for what he’s been through, he’s doing ok!”. I absolutely agree, I’m “ok.” And OK is absolutely the problem.

I’m doing OK. I’m average.

Average has become socially acceptable, normal even. Please understand I’m not talking about just finances here, or a great job. I’m talking about the person as a whole, who they are, what they do, how they think, who they attract, the impact they make.

I am personally sick of average. I would even go so far as to say average is making me physically sick, chronically ill. It effects every aspect of my life. I believe that God created each of us to be the best we can possibly be, and I’m determined to get there, whatever it takes.

Today I am average, normal, typical. Today I did everything I could so tomorrow I wouldn’t be the same.
